Introduction
to the second type of tripod
The second type of tripod was a complete design change from the first. See picture on the left. Constructed completely of light aluminium the second type of tripod went through a number of design changes and additions.
Throughout this the design of the legs stayed constant but there were three different heads and the option of ordering the tripod with the ball head adapter which enabled you to level the tripod on uneven ground.
Each of the three heads came in two different versions one where you could feed a cable release through the pan handle and one where you couldn't.
The three different heads can each fit on the standard legs and the ball head adapter can be fitted between the legs and whatever head you have. In essence all the heads plus the ball head adapter are interchangeable.
