The
major modification that this camera ushered in was the introduction of
the variable shutter which allowed users to perform in camera fades and
dissolves.
It also has one screw thread to the left of the frames per second dial for the mounting of a Rexofader to do automatic in camera fades and dissolves. The fps speeds of 12 and 18fps has been added but the 8fps speed has been dropped.
